Look Ma! No training wheels!

Eli has been begging us to take off the training wheels on his bike for weeks (ever since he went to his friend Mikey's and saw that he had a big boy bike). Today, we finally gave in and took him to the Highlands Ranch High School parking lot to practice. We were a little (ok, really!) nervous for him, given his boyish tendencies to fall and scrape himself. However, he made it look easy and was crusing around the lot in no time. I am not sure what is funnier in this video, my boys or Jon chasing them :)

Yet another milestone as my kiddos grow up so quickly (sniff, sniff!).

August Rush of Memories

A few pics from our end-of-summer fun. I can't believe we're already back to school! It was the best summer yet...more reflections to come :)

Having fun

The boys got a tour of the local fire station compliments of a friend of Jon's. They got to climb in all the trucks and the fireman even gave them their own hats!
I bought these matching shirts at the end of the season last year, it's been fun to dress them alike as we did last Sunday.

Asher loves to feed himself, especially strawberry yogurt.

Today was Eli's preschool "graduation". Here he is receiving his "diploma" from his teacher, Mrs. Robertson.

Birthday and Bunnies

Asher was not a fan of Kip's birthday kiss for him.

Wow. I need to get this thing updated more than every three months (or four now?). Guess that's what I get for working three jobs (not counting the unpaid ones).

We celebrated Asher's first birthday on March 31st. I can't believe how fast the year went. His first experience with a cupcake was a messy one, of course.
Asher is always quick to answer the question of how big he is with a "SOOO big" gesture.
Easter was a glorious celebration here. We went to church in the morning, came back home for Asher's nap, then returned to church for a classic pitch-in. In the afternoon, Eli hunted for goodies left by the Bunny in our backyard. We even snapped a rare family picture in front of the neighbor's beautiful magnolia tree.

We're going full-speed ahead into the spring, and I am only seven weeks away from a much needed summer vacation! Can't wait to have some great neighborhood pool time!
